Oblique strategies is a deck of cards that you can look at when you’re in the middle of a problem and do not know how else to go about solving it. I found a neat website that had online oblique strategy cards that you can click through the cards. My favorite one was “repetition is a form of change.” I found this one particularly interesting because it can mean so many different things. For example, if the same sentence is used throughout a story, the sentence is obviously the same each time it is written, but the meaning also changes with each setting in which the sentence is used.
